Asssertive SSI Serivce Team

We Want to Help Oct 14, 2010 DBTC enables communities to help the severely disabled avoid the cycle of suffering and dependence on already scarce community resources. We accomplish this by training those in the community who help the disabled and indigent obtain Social Security Disability Benefits (SSD) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) as well as Medicare and Medicaid insurance. Our training is provided to both agencies and individuals. We provide workshops and case specific training.

Community As A Whole Oct 03, 2010 Assisting people with severe disabilities obtain federal benefits is tangible and invaluable work for the community as a whole. 100% of these disability related federal benefits go directly back into our local economy in the form of rent, medical treatment, and consumer items.

Our Dream Sep 30, 2010 It has long been our dream to have a trained federal Benefits Specialist at each agency that works with the homeless and disabled.

Our Progress Sep 14, 2010 Many new non-attorney representatives have been trained in Oregon and Washington since January, 2008. DBTC brought this effective program development model (SSI Boot Camp) to multiple metropolitan areas in the Northwest.
